"Homer Journey" Day 1 on the road!
Amazing day!!!! It started at 6:45 with an interview with Aaron and Andy on Channel 23 every weekday morning. We left at 8 am from the Medicine Creek Lodge heading to Baker, SD 25 miles away over the Black Hillsand 25 to 35 MPH winds. Two hours and 15 minutes later we made it. After a short rest off to Marmouth, ND taking a little over an hour to get there. We saw an amazing classic car museum and had lunch at the famous Pasttime Steak House, served nicely by Dale and Megan, heading back to Oregon on Saturday, Good Luck to them!
Then off to Bowman, finishing the day at 71 miles with no major issues other than a minor one that medical tape is dealing with. If it gets worse, I’ll let you know what I do about it.
A big thanks to Bob Kantner, my partner in crime on this journey. If has taken the entire month of August off to make this trip happen. I couldn’t have done this without him thanks again Bob.
