On the first day I felt some pain in my second toe but just ingored it, but by noon of the second it was getting much worse.  At a break I took off my sock and the nail was turning black indicating bleeding and the nail felt loose.  To correct this, I wrapped it in medical tape to keep it from coming off but the med tape would come off.  So, the man thing to do was stop at a hardware store and get duct tape…problem solved.
