Terry Redlin Art Museum in Watertown, SD
I spent a very restful day in Watertown at the Zoo, a movie and touring the community. Note the beautiful flower lined street on Route 81 leading into downtown. The Zoo was amazing with a tiger, monkeys, zebra, fish and all sorts of domestic animals including bison (not buffalo), deer, eagles and a variety of birds. The highlight of the day was the Terry Redlin Art Museum, one of America’s most beloved artists and conservationists. Anyone who has been to a Ducks Unlimited Dinner has probably seen his wonderful sunset prints of rural America.
Tomorrow is another rest day, but according to locals, we’ve seen it all, so I guess I’ll catch up on my reading. Almost all the feeling has returned to my left hand and I feel good. We’ll be back on the road Wednesday morning and I am looking forward to it, patience is not one of my virtues, plus its another mile closer to home, my friends and Rockford.
