You mention ‘tours at the Hanksville- Burpee Quarry’. Is this the dig site? Will your team still be doing tours in mid-August?

And btw, which of the three motels in Hanksville would you recommend?

    Thanks,
    Mark

  2. Sorry to say the tours are over until next May. As for motels, I stayed at the Whispering Sands and it was very clean and good wifi. Some of our crew has said great things about the Henry Mountain Hideout too.

There is so much to see around there, you won’t miss the tour of the site. Have fun!

Would like to know how the Burpee Museum got started and who started. I’m a Burpee and your family history shows us being related to the Burpee Seed Company. I found this site and would like more information. thank you
